AAAX ADVENTURE TOUR - SCROLL DOWN
The Orange River and Breede Rivers are entry levels to river rafting and are suitable for the whole family from 5 to 85 years of age with only a moderate level of fitness required.
The modern raft (Croc) is an inflatable boat, consisting of very durable, multi-layered rubberized or vinyl fabrics with several independent air chambers. There are 2 persons to each Croc. Although Crocs are slower in the water than canoes or kayaks, they are more stable, safe and spaceous.
No experience is needed. Our experienced River Guides will take you through all the paces of paddling including full safety briefings. You will only raft where you are confident. Rapids are available for the more adventerous.
River rafting is available all year round. Take warm woolies in winter when it's chilly and lots of liquids in February when it's hot.
You will see the spectacular 10 million year old rock and mountain formations and the unique flora and forna of the region. We spend our mornings paddling, soaking up the sun, maybe a bit of hiking and negotiating some rapids before we stop to enjoy a healthy lunch on the banks of the river. You are welcome to bring a fishing rod and catch some fish. In the evenings we swap stories around the camp fire while the guides prepare a delicious bush style dinner and we sleep under the star studded skies. (Bring a tent if you would prefer.)
See Rafting Schedule for dates available or if you are a group of 12 persons or more we will leave on any date available and any itinerary you require. We could even paddle to the Orange River mouth Atlantic Ocean.
For the more experienced we have strenuous Kayaking Trails.
