CAPE PENINSULA and CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
HALF-DAY TOUR
R585 per person. (pick-up and drop-off around Cape Town)
Travel along the spectacular coastline of the Peninsula through charming historical villages. Visit the mythical meeting place of two great oceans and experience the âfairest Cape of them allâ
We travel along the Atlantic coast via Clifton and Camps Bay, the Twelve Apostles Mountain range, Llandudno and Hout Bay. Along Chapmans Peak Drive we may stop at a viewing site and take some pictures. Then through Noordhoek whereafter we will view some ostriches.
At the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve you may see buck, baboons, mountain zebra, water mongoose and 250 species of birds. As part of the Cape Floral Kingdom you will find 1100 species of indigenous plants. This is also an excellent vantage point (in season) for whale watching.
At Cape Point you can view the mythical meeting place of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans which is also know as the Cape of Storms.
This is the legendary home of The Flying Dutchman. Crewed by tormented and damned ghostly sailors, it is doomed forever to beat its way through the adjacent waters without ever succeeding in rounding the headland.
On our way back we travel along the Indian Ocean's False Bay coast stopping in Simon's Town (naval harbour) for the option to view Jackass Penquins at Boulder's Beach. We then continue through Muizenberg, Constantia and back home.
